Today marks 15 whole weeks of this little baby growing inside of me.
I have been through so much these last 3 weeks that I've become completely distraught.
I cannot button my jeans. Can't do it. I mean... if I want to button them I can, but then I have the most unflattering figure. You know the kind of pictures in the "Do's and Don'ts" section in the back of magazines?? Yeah, well if I button my pants I just know my picture will end up in one of those with a big, black, bold
DON'T right under it. So after waking up yesterday morning and putting on every pair of jeans I own and taking them right off I could only resort to sitting on my bed and crying. Yes I did. I cried. I then called A.C. to tell him how upset I was and how we are going to the gym everyday! Then I just cried some more. That's when A.C. told me not to sit in the dark and weep all to myself about my jeans. Our baby is growing! So that is pretty exciting. However, because our baby only weighs 2 ounces, I shouldn't be outgrowing my clothes just yet! Right??
So after this huge emotional meltdown yesterday morning... I did the unthinkable....
I stepped on the scale. Yes, that's right. I did it. I weighed myself for the first time in weeks. And it was devastating. While weight gain is something that comes with pregnancy.. I just never thought that I would ever see that number before me. But I am now getting past this. Just embrace it Makayla.. embrace it. Now, I haven't gained a ridiculous amount of weight.. but I will say that I have NEVER been this heavy in my entire life. So after sulking about my weight for about an hour, I decided to see how much I should weigh at 15 weeks pregnant. So I went online and did a pregnancy weight gain calculator..
http://www.baby2see.com/pregnancy_weight_calculator.html and entered my height and weight before pregnancy and I am actually on the right track. I should be at least 3 pounds heavier than what I am now, by next Friday! This calculator is just an average weight gain and every woman's body is different.. but it was definitely comforting to see that. :)
I also went to Copperfields last night to look for a Food Diary and pregnancy workout books. I found quite a few workout books and no food diary, but I can make my own food diary! How hard can it be? I also found some good workout routines online! My favorite is this one..
http://www.myfittribe.com/jamcoretraining/family-fitness/prenatal-workout-routine.html! It has video posts showing you how to do each exercise properly AND you can dowload it to your Ipod! Which is perfect because I always look at exercises in magazines and then when I get to the gym to do them... I forget how its done! haha
I am very excited to start working out again! Now that my morning sickness has amazingly gone away (yaaaayyyyyy!!!!) I really do have much more energy and feel like a new person! I couldn't even ride in a car without getting sick before this week! AMAZING!
On a different note, I was able to see our little baby yet again a few days ago! I am very fortunate that the doctor's office I work for has a brand new, top notch ultrasound machine!!! So we sneak peeks of Little Baby every now and then! Let me just say that my baby has a HUGE head, and LONG LONG legs! which I will take full credit for his beautiful long legs thank you very much. :) Hahah I mean, A.C. is only 6'4" so our baby obviously didn't get long legs from him. Hahaha
I also just want everyone to know that I, along with the whole office, most definitely believe I am having..... A BOY! Now my official ultrasound isn't until March 10th, but seriously... it looks like there is a little "sumtin-sumtin" between those long legs!
It is absolutely amazing how quickly a baby grows inside of you! He is soooo much bigger! He was really active! Curling into a ball and then stretching all the way out! It looked like he was trying to stand up inside of me! And he would flip around so his back was to us and then do a 180 and be directly facing us and he would wave his little hand hello! Telling everyone, "I'm here! I know you see me! Watch what I can do!" hahaha it was so cute! and then he would just chill and relax.. you can see his fingers, his toes, his ribs and spine, it looked like he was trying to suck his thumb! It was adorable! and his EARS!! Oh my gosh he has the tiniest little ears!! It's amazing to see his on the screen and know that all of that is inside of ME! And he loves it in there! Oh its so amazing I can't even describe the feeling I get watching our little baby :)
Blog ya later!
